Description: Farron Feiner is a weaver and Southern California native hailing from Long Beach. Inspired by music, nature, and an incurable sense of wanderlust, she loves to play with color and unexpected texture in her work. Each of Farron's one-of-a-kind wall hangings are painstakingly handmade and have a feel that's both organic and rich, imbuing any room with a luxe bohemian vibe.
Students will learn how to warp a loom and the following weaving techniques: tabby, rya, dovetail and soumak. Tips for making shapes and circles also will be discussed.
You will be provided a wooden dowel and learn how to take your completed weaving off the loom and hang it.
Supplies included: loom (with shuttle and shed), paper floor, yarn, yarn needle, wooden dowel.
